"The Guru" an Artist Proof giclee print of a painting by Robert Bissell. This piece depicts a bear floating above a lake while seated. Blue butterflies billow around him and distant mountains rise proudly in the background. The bear is at unity with his surroundings -- peaceful as the spring morning and unbothered as the butterflies. AP 4/25, signed by artist. Includes Certificate of Authenticity and a handwritten note from the artist. Framed in a simple yet robust black frame with a black linen border. Robert Bissell, after spending nearly fifteen years as a commercial artist, pivoted to his first and true passion: fine art. The bright compositions of his paintings are intended to evoke childhood joy while his often anthropomorphized animal subjects remind the audience of their natural origins; in short, they present the innocent foundation of our nature as humans and animals. NOTE: As this piece is large and heavy, expect a steep shipping price. 12lbs. Size: 42 x 40 x 1.25" framed Condition: There appears to be two small stains by the left foot and the backing paper is torn in a few places, see pictures for more detail.
