“Under an Umbrella by the Sea” by the Soviet artist Andrey G Lysenko, a painter who was more well known for military/historical subjects but also depicted more leisurely scenes. In the context of Soviet propaganda, these were designed to demonstrate the prosperity of the people under the Soviet regime. Oil on hardboard. Held in a lightly decorated and gold-painted frame. 6.3lbs.
