Jesse Barnes (1936-2017), nicknamed “The Light Painter”, was a Missouri-born artist who was renowned for his oil paintings which depicted the daily life and landscape of Middle America. In 2002 he was commissioned to paint the mural “Pursuit of a Dream” for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, marking a high-point in his career. Prints of his work continue to be highly valued to this day.
