“Calla Lily”, a bronze sculpture by Tim Cotterill. This piece depicts a small frog nestled among lily petals. Two ladybugs cling to the exterior petals. The piece is signed ‘Frogman’ at the base of the flower and signed ‘Tim 229/2000’ at the base of the stem. Includes certificate of authenticity. 3.3 lbs.
Tim Cotterill, also known as the “Frogman”, is a British-born and California-based sculptor who began applying his metalworking expertise to whimsical frog sculptures in 1990. His pieces employ the ‘lost-wax’ technique, the molds for which are destroyed after a certain number of copies have been created. This makes his works highly collectible.
