Description
Vintage Viet Cong National Liberation Front flag. According to the accompanying informational card, the flag was taken from Thanh Hoa in 1968. The blue and red represent the unification of the country’s north and south. The star represents global Communism and its yellow color represents rice and, by extension, peasant labor. The pencil marks along the flag were likely made to draw the star itself and thus indicate that this was handmade from cotton fabric.
