Description
Springfield 1884 Trapdoor US rifle. Carving on the side reads "SMP 1889", indicating the manufacture date. Serial no. 446065. Carving on the butt reads "24". Original caliber was .45/70FFL, unknown if further modifications have been made. 9.1 lbs.
Fine quality, parkerizing has faded. The piece appears to be functional, the locking mechanism is in working order and there is an audible click when the trigger is depressed. That being said, this company is not a gun shop and its employees are not gunsmiths. A more comprehensive assessment of the piece’s quality and functionality is up to the buyer to carry out.
