Original comic art for The Captain and the Kids by Rudolph Dirks, the original creator of the Katzenjammer Kids. This new strip was essentially a knock-off of his original creation after losing the rights to the William Randolph Hearst. Dated 3/20/1949, the smudged surfaces of the Captain’s jacket testify to its authenticity. RARE.
