Description
Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Lamp Lantern Qing – Republic set of 2. On each side there is a round medallion with a miniature portrait of flowers. The medallions evoke the image of moon gate as if the beauty and flowers are seen through the moon gate. These lanterns are adorned with beautiful pinks, blue and greens. On the lower and upper sections near the foot of the lantern, two twin coin shaped openings are carved to allow better circulation of air for better burning of the candle or lamp. The stand has a cup that can hold a candle or small lamp. The lantern body has intricately carved beautiful classical window lattice openings.
