Avranches Baie du Mont St. Michael poster by Albert Bergevin (French, 1887-1974) framed. Albert Julien Paul Bergevin war a French, painter, printmaker and poster artist. He grew up in Avranches, Normandy, the son of an antiquarian. Bergevin felt drawn to the artistic profession at an early age. From 1903, he frequently visited Paris. There, he first attended the courses of Louis Lavalley, then the Académie Julian, the Académie Ransom, and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
