Itzcgak Tarkay (Israeli, 1935-2012) "Cafe Waterfront" mixed media on canvas, hand-signed lower right.
The artwork here, "Cafe Waterfront", is a wonderful depiction of an elegant woman sitting having tea in the harbor, that is saturated with acute detail, and vibrant color throughout, making it one of the nicest paintings by Tarkay we have ever made available. Also, measuring approximately 8” x 11 ½” and 14 ½” x 18” with the high-quality frame made specifically for this painting, the immaculate artwork is of impressive craftsmanship and versatile size. Finally, it has remained in excellent condition since being completed by Tarkay, is signed in the lower right corner, is uniquely painted from the edition of 150. Itzchak Tarkay’s art has been exhibited in major museums around the world, and can be found in some of the most prestigious public and private collections worldwide.
