Cremant Du Roi, Veuve Amiot original 1922 stone lithograph. First lithograph began printing in circa 1922 on stone by Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942). Poster depicts King Louis XIV’s brother tasting a cup of delicious French champagne. Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) was an Italian and French poster art designer and painter, who mainly lived and worked in Paris. He is now often called ‘the father of modern advertising’ because of his innovation in poster design.
