Description
Nigel Coates rare aluminum & steel male mannequin. This mannequin was developed by Nigel Coates for Jigsaw, Knightsbridge circa 1993. When Coates began working with Jigsaw, a luxury clothing brand, the company was still testing the market with only a few stores in and around London. They wanted to develop their philosophy of fresh and natural fashion with stores that had a distinct identity on the High Street. The first shop in Kensington was soon followed by others in prestigious locations across London. At the Knightsbridge store, a huge central column addresses the street. Inside a spiralling terrazzo staircase erupts into the centre of the main upstairs selling floor, and frames the blue glass chandelier that hangs in the stairwell.
