Description
David Archer (American, 1941 – Current)
“Blue Moon” limited edition printed lithograph features blue lunar space art.
Best known for high voltage space art, which is known as reverse glass or verso painting, Dave Archer creates work using millions of volts of electricity as a paint brush. He began this type of work in 1970, as a joint venture with Ron Russell. Archer’s work has been used in numerous book cover illustrations and for television programs such as “Eye to Eye with Connie Chung,” and some of the “Star Trek” series. Working with hand-held wands, he manipulates high voltage arcs from a few inches in length to nine feet using that raw power to influence wet paint on sheets of glass, thus achieving space-cloud impressions.
Size: 23.5 X 23.5″. 33 X 33″ Frame.
