1861 Liberty head 2 1/2 dollar gold coin – A U.S. pattern coin containing 90% gold and 10% copper that was produced from 1840 to 1907. The obverse shows the liberty head surrounded by stars and marked with the date of mint in the center bottom, while the reverse shows an eagle with a shield clutching bundles of arrows in its talons. The reverse is also marked with "United States of America 2 1/2D"Weight: 0.15 Oz Condition: Circulated
