Description
This RARE vintage art book, titled “Not as Briefed”, is a print compilation of Col. Charles Ross Greening’s paintings. This edition is signed by the author. Col. Greening was an aviator during WWII who served in the Pacific theater, as part of the Doolittle Raiders on Tokyo, and European theater, as part of the Invasion of Italy. During the latter tour, he was captured and interred in a German POW camp where he continued to paint and organized recreational activities for his fellow prisoners. After the war, he remained active in the Air Force until his death in 1957.
