The 1908 $20 gold pieces were produced over 95 years ago at the Denver Mint, which opened in 1906 to serve the fast-growing coinage needs of the central and Rocky Mountain regions of the country. Designed by the world-renowned sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the $20 gold pieces of 1907-1933 are highly praised for their beauty, detail and artistry.
